Final Fantasy 2 Unprecedented Crisis is a true treat for long time fans of Final Fantasy 2/IV. Unprecedented Crisis has the same Final Fantasy story and characters that we all know and love. However, the story events play out a little differently. The story starts out just like normal, but something changes after the events in Fabul. Leviathan never attacks your ship and you arrive in Baron safely. This one change creates a huge butterfly effect that changes everything afterwards, and I won't spoil any more of the surprises. There is no change to the gameplay, but there is a lot of changes to the characters abilities. Cecil has his Dark Wave from Hard Type, but he can also use some low level Black Magic. Rydia can not use any White/Black magic and can only summon, but she has a new "Help!" command that summons a random Esper. Rosa is now an Archer and has stronger bow attacks and fewer White magic spells. This means you will have to come up with new strategies. Shops have different equipment, so also check them out. The difficulty is reasonable for a hack. There is a point in which the difficult does ramp up quite a bit suddenly, but all it requires a little bit of old school level grinding. In conclusion, this is an excellent hack and was a pleasure to play through from start to finish.
